ENVIRONMENTAL AND RESOURCE SUSTAINABILITY MUST BECOME A REALITY RATHER THAN A MERE CONCEPT.

Every day the planet suffers as a consequence of human consumption and harmful decisions. The planet’s biodiversity, as well as resources, are slowly depleting before our very eyes. With each passing day, we are closer to reaching its limit. Today, we take on the responsibility and task of working with companies that share similar values. We honor our decision to partner with those who also believe in sustainable and environmentally friendly consumption.

The companies of the future will know that their success will depend on the way in which they relate to society and the environment, respecting it and giving back much of what we have taken from it.

Through this ideology we hope to reduce the exploitation of human labor and the excessive amount of  waste that is silently destroying our world.

Choosing a brand like rescue is supporting

GOOD AND ETHICAL LABOR PRACTICES

The fashion industry in general is deeply exploitative in every way. Labor and social practices are part of sustainability is as imperative as the choice of materials and work practices. It is very important to us that RESCUE has been inclusive and represents everyone, from the models you see, to the sizes for purchase , and the collaborators we work with.

Our garments are made in Colombia under the best conditions of safety and fair labor. We are environmentally friendly fashion, we are ethical fashion, we are an EXPERIENCE that saves lives.

20%

of the textiles used in fashion end up as waste that pollutes our planet.

90%

of this waste is recyclable

3%

is actually recycled.

IN THE RECYCLED COTTON PROCESS

We have mainly 2 sources: pre-consumption, which includes the remains of fabric discarded at the time of cutting and making the textile products, and post-consumption, which are the garments already used, whose cotton fibers.  it will be reused to create the aforementioned recycled cotton.

Most recycled cotton is produced through a recycling process that is primarily mechanical.
First, the pre-consumer and post-consumer product is selected and classified and all this fabric is introduced into a machine that shreds it into yarn and then into raw fiber.  The raw fiber is spun into large spools, to be reused later in the production of new fabrics that maintain the same quality and durability as conventional cotton.

The cultivation of cotton, even organic, demands a large amount of water, causing severe droughts in some areas of the planet

We save 30 million liters of water a year.

RECYCLED RESCUE PRODUCTS NEED ALMOST NO WATER.

One of the great benefits of recycled cotton is, without a doubt, giving a second life to the tons of fabric that would not be used otherwise and would end up accumulating in the bottom of your closet

For our recycled Rpet process

RPET bottles are collected as we mentioned above, sterilized, dried, and sorted based on the color of the plastic and then crushed into small chips.
The chips are heated and passed through a row to form strands of thread that are wound onto spools.
The fiber is then passed through a crimping machine to create a fluffy texture.
This yarn is packaged, dyed and woven in polyester fabric.

70% of the world's Rpet bottles end up in the oceans or in landfills. RESCUE garments are made from recycled Rpet bottles. 4 Rpet bottles make one T-shirt."

Making clothes in this eco-friendly way is much more expensive (30% more) than producing conventional polyester fabric, but in this case, this is where we talk about how much cheaper it usually is and much more expensive for our planet and for our future generations

The fabrics with which we produce our garments are internationally certified by Global Recycling Standard.

ADDITIONALLY,
